NUI Galway’s TY Taster Days for Arts

NUI Galway’s TY Taster Days for Arts – now taking bookings.NUIG
NUI Galway will host Taster Days for Arts on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th April, from 9.30am-3.00pm (registration opens at 9.15am) on the NUI Galway campus.

The free programme includes over 30 interactive taster sessions to give Transition Year students a feel for studying Arts at NUI Galway- students create a personalised timetable by choosing to sample one subject per hour, which will include a range of information sessions on career options with an Arts degree.

Trinity Computer Science Shadowing 6th yr

Trinity are offering shadowing opportunity to 6th year students interested in Computer Science. 
Can you please ensure that you forward your name, email address and the name of the course you are interested in shadowing on to Elaine.Noone@scss.tcd.ie 

Trinity run separate days for each of the following courses.  
• Computer Science leads to a BA Moderatorship and a Master in Computer Science (MCS). 
• Computer Science and Language (French, German or Irish) combines the study of Computer Science, linguistics and French, German or Irish and leads to a BA Moderatorship. 
• Management Science and Information Systems Studies (MSISS) is the study of management sciences, statistics and information and communication technology leading to a BA Moderatorship. 
• Computer Science and Business is a joint degree programme combining computer science and business management and leads to a BA Moderatorship.

Choices Careers Fair

Choices Careers Fair takes place next Thursday 24th November at 7.30pm in St. Kilian's School, Clonskeagh. CBC 5th and 6th years will join other LC students from local schools in attending this careers fair. All the major colleges and ITs will be in attendance, along with the Armed Forces, the Gardai, many PLCs and lots more. There will also be student representatives from many college courses available to talk to students about what their course is like. NCI Dublin Open Day

 NCI is hosting an Open Day on Wednesday 23rd November 10-3. NCI is a small college based in Dublin City centre in the IFSC and operates under the "free fees" scheme. It has several Level 8 and Level 6/7 courses on offer including Hons degrees in Business, Marketing, Psychology and Computing. Please see this link for further details on Open Day and NCI.

RCSI Open Days

In 2017, RCSI will have 3 separate Open Days for the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. All will take place on Wednesday 4th January 2017 - this is during Christmas Holidays please be aware.

Anyone interested in Medicine please note that the HPAT test is now open for registration. You must sit the HPAT test if you are applying to Medicine. Please note the closing date is 5.15pm on January 20th 2017, test date is the 25th February. Please register here
